The U.S. Department of Agriculture found that even after washing, some fruits and vegetables consistently carry much higher levels of pesticide and chemical residue than others. Researchers at the Environmental Working Group published the ranking of pesticides in food. A study of these results was published in the British Medical Journal in 2004 (reference below). Based on these findings, you should eat the "Dirty Dozen"- Organic whenever possible, it's worth the cost!

No need to go Organic: (least to most contaminated)
